Yogi and Tron

Two movies that I want to see are coming out tmrw. Yogi Bear and Tron. They both look good.

Caroling tmrw

I am going caroling tommorow morning. I dont wanna. Ms Dionne is making us though, so I have to go. We are gonna go in the main enterance and sing stuff. I dont wanna. Yeah. Parents getting mad, gtg now. Byes now.

Party

The synergy Christmas party was today. It wasent as fun as it could have been. I have already seen harry potter. I think everyone has. I think that I could organize a better party. I'm too lazy, but if i could tell someone what to do, i dunno. It just might work out. K. Gtgs now. Byes now.

Tired.

I'm pretty tired today. I stayed up till like 1 last night doing 2 projects. Now, I'm playing a video game before track practice. According to the game, which had been out for like 1 month, the total kills made by players equals to 150% of the population of the earth. Gtg to track now. Bye.

Friends Birthday

It was my friends birthday today. The only people there were me and jonnie. It was fun though, because we got him a present together, and we did the same thing did last year, where we put a fake present inside of an absurd amount of wrapping (it took like 35 mins to wrap and 17 to unwrap), then later in the party we give him his actual present. Next year we have a plan to do even more. We will do a matroushka doll thing, where we will put boxes inside boxes inside boxes. And possibly have more than one fake box. We could have one giant box, and mega wrap that, and then inside, have another box, and then inside of that, have like five different boxes. Then he would need to unwrap at least one, but hopefully something like 3 or 4, before he finds it. Yeah. We will plan it better next year. And buy more tape. We used about 3 rolls of tape (my dads, I have to pay him back for it), so... Yeah. More planning next year. Yeah. Byes now.

AC Brotherhood

I just started playing AC Brotherhood, which I got a long time ago, because I have been playing Black Ops so much. My internet connection went down, so I switched to Brotherhood. Its fun, because I just got to the part where you get to hire other assassins to do jobs for you, and they can help you in missions. It makes it a lot easier.

Black Ops

I just finished the Black Ops campaign. It only took me like 2 days. I just started it this weekend. It is kinda cool. As per the name, it is about a black ops operative, during the cold war. The story kinda runs like this: You are in the bay of pigs invastion, and you kill castro. You have to stay behind, to allow the rest of your team to escape. You are handed over to a russian general, who puts you in a prison camp, you escape, then do a mission in vietnam, then one in hong kong, then one in laos, then one in russia, then another in russia. Then its over. yeah. Its a lot more complicated then that, but i decided that it would be boring, a bit into writing that. Yeah. Its still fun.

Kwantlen Science Challenge

So Kwantlen science challenge was today, finally. I will go through our events in order. There are five: First was the Jeopardy. We tied for first, even though we would have won, if I didn't mess up the last question, which was: "What is the common unit of space measurement equivalent to 3.26 lightyears." I said astronomic unit, and it was Parsec. I need to hurry now, because my parents are yelling at me. The geology section was next, which we did OK in, but I think we might have gotten something wrong. It was hard. Next lunch, and after was math, which I didn't participate in, then was design, where we tested our bridge. It held 71.3 kilos, which is like 155 lbs. Then was physics, which was fun, because we got to use an actual geiger counter. Yeah. Then was the closing ceremonys. Only one shirt per group, but we got lucky, because they accidentally gave us a winner shirt. We didnt place in the top five. We will know our exact ranking within a week. Yeah. It was fun. We went to lansdowne after. Gtg now. Byes now.

mr Jefferson

Just found out where Mr jefferson went. surprised. I am assuming mr olson might know where he went, and I am not sure if I should tell anyone else, so I am just not going to mention what happened. But about him, that was kind of my joke about what happened. I had no idea it was real. Without going into too much detail, for everyone else, he will probably be gone for a while. I think at least a year. Prob more. Yeah. Still surprised.

Jacob Cutts

My theme of the day is Jacob Cutts. He is one cool dude. Though that is true, that is not my theme of the day. I have never, in the past had one, and I dont plan to in the future. I dunno. I will talk about having a christmas party. I am trying to organize a MACC christmas party. For Livingstone. I just had an idea while writing this, that it could be a RIP Livingstone MACC party. Because Livingstone MACC just ended after a whole 2 year. Whoopie. Yeah. I feel proud to be one of the like 20 people that went to it. Hardly 20. Whatever. Yeah. But planning our parties never work. They always phail. Because we just argue until after the time when we had planned to have it, so we just give up. Yeah. Byes now.

Meeting Today

We had our meeting today. It was fun. We didn't get much done, we only got half of a bridge done, but it was still fun. I got black ops, so we played zombies. Yay. Zombies. Then a couple people from the group stayed after and we went tobogganing.

Meeting tmrw

We have having one of our last meetings tmrw. It will be to build our last prototype, which theoretically will look exactly like the final bridge, and then we will have another meeting to destroy it, after the glue has dried. We then, at that meeting will build a replica bridge, and then we will be ready for the challenge. It is held in exactly one week. Looking forwards to it. yay. Byes now.

Lots of work

I had lots of work to do tonight. You could figure that out by yourself, by directing ur attention to the time of this post. I needed to do like 4 paragraphs of writing, plus an entire map. Yeah. I am really tired, but I am just going to give a Science Challenge Update: We are having another meeting sunday, and we will test yet another bridge, but I am not sure wether we already have one, or wether we are making one on sunday. Also, I hope to own the new Call of Duty by the time of the meeting, so that we can play Zombies mode, while waiting for the glue to dry. Yeah. I like COD.

Baseball offseason

I am still finding ways of staying up with baseball news, even though not much is going on right now. The blue jays have picked up a new outfielder, and might pick up another (Manny Ramirez), but they have also lost quite a few players. They have lost their 3rd baseman, their closer, and their catcher. They are also considering entering talks for a good starter. (zack grenke). Yeah. That's my blue jays update. Also, about kwantlan science challenge, we tested a new bridge, which unfortunately was still over regulation, held 110+ lbs. For other info about our meeting, look at other peoples blogs. Someone must have posted about it.

I dunno

I titled it that because that's the first thing that came to mind when I was thinking of a title. Now I have nothing to talk about. I'm going to have a meeting for kwantlan science challenge soon. Probably tmrw. Yeah.

I'm watching house right now. It's a good show. Hugh Laurie has a good character. Yeah. This episode is about smallpox. I am surprised that it is so deadly.

Update 2

This update is a little worse news. We were impatient this meeting, and we didnt leave the glue to dry long enough. That resulted in the bridge collapsing. Prematurely. As in, we loaded about 10 water bottles, and the glue just gave. Yeah.  We just re-glued it, and its still to many sticks, but all we have to do is let it dry. I think we might have a meeting on Wednesday. Maybe we can do it then. Hopefully.

Update

Here is an update about the science challenge. We had a meeting today, that I didnt know about, until about 45 mins before it, but it was good, because we tested our bridge, and it supported a lot. Over 85 pounds. I know that to be heavier than the weight of some of the people in synergy. But then we started planning our final (hopefully) prototype. It isnt working out as well as we thought it would. Not at all. It turns out that the sides of the bridge require 97 popsicle sticks. That leaves us with only three to work with to connect the sides. There is another meeting tmrw, that I will go to, so... Yeah. Hopefully we will work something out. Wish us luck.

Kwantlan Science challenge

I just got back from edwards house, after getting there at 10am. We were working on Kwantlan Science challenge. We have to build a 60cm bridge out of 100 popsicle sticks or less, and then test how much weight it can support. Yeah, its fun. First, we made a base, then another one, and put them on top of each other. We then slowly added weights to it, and it finally broke with 17 pounds on it. I think thats pretty good. On sunday we will have another meeting, and we will test our second prototype. It is larger than is allowed, with 150 sticks, but we have a way to reduse that. So check back on sunday for our second prototype results. I am guessing that it will carry about.... 30 pounds. I hope. yeah. Wish us luck. Byes for now.

Rememberance day.

Today was remembrance day. I went to the cenetaph for the victory square ceremony, and there was like 10 flyovers. Then as I was leaving, I walked along a street that seemed to only allow buses, and it was blocked, so at one point I could see 18 buses. No joke. That's a new record for me. My previous one was like five.

I was told to discribe my moms editing suite. It is a small room, with her desk taking up all of one wall. On the desk is her two computer screens, and a keyboard, and several audio mix boards. At the back of the room there is a small recording suite for one person. It is intended for voiceo

Take your kid to work day (elaborated)

I was told to elaborate on my exciting story of what I did on take your kid to work day. So thats what Im going to do. As I said, I didnt do much. My mom let my get up late and my dad drove me there around 10. Then I went into her editing suite, and the director was there, so I just kinda sat there quietly and played on my ipod while listening. Then the director left and I started makeing more comments, but still didnt do much. Then we went out for lunch, and then came back, and we did the same thing. my dad then came and picked me up around 4, so I wasnt there for too long. Yeah. Thats what I did. Byes now.

MLB: The Show

Final Rugby Game

(Possibly) Our last rugby game was today. Sad. We might have an exhibition game against Magee, but thats only a maybe, and anyway, its exhibition. So basically the season is over. Yeah. Early dismissal

It was kinda funny today, Mr lopez put in an Early dismissal for rugby, even though there is no game today. The same happened with soccer, but the game was cancelled. I did not take advantage of that unique opportunity. Dont worry. Yeah. Byes.

Rain

Just a minuite ago it started pouring. Me and my parents were about to go for a walk. Oh well. It was kinda surprising though. It started up in like a minuite, and just went crazy for a couple mins, now its kinda died down. Yeah. Rain. Good stuff. Byes now.

Helicopter

The title is completly random, because I am going to tell you about rugby. My next game is tommorow, and yesterday, we lost 30-19, but I didnt think we did terrible. In the first half we let up like 20 or 25 points and scored none, but in the second we scored 19 and gave up either 5 or ten. Yeah, our next game is tmrw against McRoberts. Yeah, looking forwrads to that. I am doing this really fast, cuz i gtg. Speaking of which, Byes.

1st Rugby Game (I know thats 2 times in a row)

Yeah, just incase you are confused, I do know that that is 2 blogs in a row with the same name, but now I will actually tell you about the game. We lost 20-17 (unfortunately), but we made a few rookie mistakes, and I think if we hadn't made those mistakes, we would have probably won the game. I had no possession the whole game, but I made like 50 tackles. That made up for it.

1st Rugby Game

Our first rugby game is tomorrow after school. Kinda looking forward to it. It should be fun. Yeah, I got my jersey today. For, what I think is the first time ever, we got new jerseys. Like brand new. I had to cut the tags off. Absolutely no stains, holes, or anything you come to expect from school jerseys.

The Shining

I just watched the shining today. With jack nicholson. It was good, I had already seen bits and pieces of it on the band trip, but never the whole thing. Yeah, it was kinda cool. Scary. I like Jack Nicholson, or, as Ms. Greskiw pointed out, I like his characters, because Jack Nicholson always plays the same character. At least in the movies I have seen. At least the horror ones. They are (sadly) only Batman and The Shining, but they are really similar characters. Yeah. Byes now.

I went to my track club today today, and that was fun. It was one of the members birthdays, so we got cookies. Yay! I think I might do ultimate in the spring. It sounds kinda fun.

All I have to say today is that my birthday party was good and I have a lot of work to do. Yay!

Birthday

It's my birthday today. Happy about that. My party is in like 25 mins. I got a new battery for my computer, thats good. The battery life used to be literally 20 mins. Now its like 2 hours. Yay. So. Yeah. Hope I get good presents.

Baseball almost over

The baseball season is almost over. The regular season ends tommorow. My birthday. Like it does every year. Kind of interesting that my favorite sport ends on my birthday. Good birthday present. It mean I have to wait for like 4 months to do anything. Sad. But seriously, baseball, in one way, or another, takes up most of my time. Also, my birthday party is tommorow. We are going go-carting. Red Dead Redemption Update: 12 hours, 40%

Red Dead Redemption Again.

I have now realized that Red Dead Redemption is a black hole for your life. Sad. I have played over 7 hours since I got it, and I am only 20% complete. And for anyone that did the math and thinks it will be done in 35 hours, I seriously doubt it. The game probably goes past 100%. EG. In assassins creed 2, I am like 95% complete (after like 36 hours), but it would probably take me another 10 hours to finish, because there are all these side mission you have to do, which are impossible. There must be like 1000000000000000000000000. Yeah. Going to go play now. Sadly. Btw my birthday is in 2 days. October 3rd. Yay.

Red Dead Redemption

I just got a early birthday present today. My friends brother is moving away, so he gave my friend his game consoles, and his games, so he gave one of the games to me for my birthday. Its pretty fun, ive been playing for a while, its like a wild west game. Its pretty cool. Yeah. I need to finish some homework now. Bye.

Track was yesterday. I had fun, its good practice for when the season starts, in march (school training starts in january). Rugby was also supposed to be yesterday, but it was cancelled, and mr jefferson forgot to tell us, so we waited around for like half an hour, then finally checked, and it turned out he had gone home. Hawaii Five-0

I downloaded the Hawaii Five-0 theme song, and have been listening to it on repeat for like an hour. It will totally be stuck in my head. I also downloaded/watched the actual pilot of the new show, which looks good. Now I need to do other stuff. Byes now.

New iPod 2

I am still gonna write about my new iPod. I have been testing out some of the features, especially the mic. There are some really good voice recognition apps out there. A feature i am using right now, which obviously isn't new, is the browser. I am blogging on my iPod. Yay. Gtg now.

New iPod

Today, I got a new iPod Touch. I am pretty happy about it. It is better than my old one in pretty much every way. It has 2 cameras, a mic, a better screen, a better OS, and better processers. Yay. Now I have a baseball clinic at UBC. I need to go to that soon. Byes now.

Week ending

In both of my fantasy leagues, today is a must win. In my MLB.com team, I need a win to get into the semifinals, and it seems to all be coming down to the last game of the day, which I am listening to on the radio right now. In my ESPN team, I seem to have won, to advance to the finals, and I think I might be able to win that, based on the amount of points I have.

Rugby

I had another rugby practice today, the 5th school day in a row. Luckily, there isnt one tommorow, but there is a meeting, and there is another on monday. Rugby is pretty fun. Mr Jefferson is really serious, but thats ok. I am kinda looking forwards to our first game, in early october. As long as I learn how to play well, it should be fun.

Nothin Doing

Pretty much the title says it all. Sort of. I acually have quite a bit a work for tommorow, for science. We have to make a theoretical experiment, and write a report on it. Luckly, its a group project, and I have a good group. Good stuff. Gtg work now.

Video

Mr Olson played an interesting video in class today, about string theory. I had seen it before, but it was a long long time ago (in a galaxy far away?). I started my pitching clinic today, it was good. I am tired now. Thats good stuff. Bye.

Track

My first track practice was today, and it was pretty fun, because there was no people in my age group, I just practiced with the university students. It was good though, because the coach for my age group just me, so I learned lots. Yay.

Carlos Zambrano

Im really happy, because I just found this player that is doing amazingly well, that nobody has on their teams, called carlos zambrano, so I added him to my team, so... Yeah. I was really lucky. The track thing is good. The coordinator even said that I could go to practice for a couple weeks for free, to try it out.

Dissapointed

I was disappointed by my fantasy baseball today. I thought all my players would be playing at a certain time, but it turns out they were all playing later, and I will miss their games because I am going to play golf with a friend soon. The track thing is working out, practices are starting on monday.

Rugby

I just got back from rugby practice a while ago. It was ok, Mr. Jefferson can be entertaining. We didnt do much. Just running and passing. Me and my parents are trying to contact one of the coordinators for Thunderbirds athletics, to see about joining their junior track club.

Boring Day

Today after school has been, and will be boring, because there is only like 2 baseball games, so I cant watch my fantasy baseball games. At school I had spanish w/ werner, english w/ hawck, socials w/ martin, and math w/ lee. It was ok. First full day tmrw. Kinda looking forward to it. Depends on what happens in my free block. I really dont want a random class.

Back

Well. I'm back to blogging. I guess I will blog about what I am doing right now. Fantasy baseball. Currently I am in 1st in both of my leagues, one is already in the playoffs (and I'm doing better in it), and the other one's playoffs start in 2 weeks. Yeah. I got a free block today because of a scedule mix-up, so I went and sat in on Mr. Olson's synergy 8 class, and saw some people that I knew from elementary (Andy, Vivian, and Alex).

IDRBIB (I did really bad in baseball)

The title says it all. I sucked in baseball today. I pitched badly (for me) and went 0 for 2. Last day two today. And the last day of school.

2 more days

Tommorow is my last day 1 of grade 8. The day after is the last day 2. Im gonna miss grade 8. Or school, until it starts again. Whichever. im probably gonna get contacts after exams. As soon after as possible. I need it to be ready for summer ball. I talk about baseball too much. It was really cool though, i was looking at sports sunglasses on the oakley website, and you can customize them, and you can make them look so cool.

Playoffs

It turns out the playoffs for baseball start tomorrow, which kinda sucks, because I wont be able to pitch. To put that in context, since my first game pitching (our 5th game), I have only not pitched in one game that I attended. Whatever. I am really looking into training options, like baseball camps and such.

IDRGIB (I Did Really Good In Baseball)

As the title says, I did really good in baseball today. I'm kinda on a streak batting. I'll talk about that first. This game, I was 2 for 3 with a single and a double, 3 RBIs. Last game I was 3-3 with a single, a double, and a triple. The game before, I was 1-2 with a double. Now pitching. Not last game, but the game before, I pitched a good ERA, 2 runs in 2 innings. Last game, I think it was 1 run in 2 innings. This game was definitely the best game, pitching-wise, I have ever played, and possibly because of that, it might be my best game ever. I pitched a complete game, 7 innings, and let in 4 runs. Thats an ERA of 4, which, for my level is really good. And my dad got the whole thing on film.

Bad in baseball

I think I did kinda bad in baseball. I mean statistically, I did well, I pitched two innings with 5 strikeouts, but still. I'm kinda beating myself up about one play, where I should have slid into home, and I didnt. So i got out. And the coach got mad. And I got madder (at myself, not him).

Pirates

I used to play a lot of a game, Sid Meier's Pirates. I just got it again, and Im playing it a lot. I kinda remembered about it a couple days ago when i got a god book, by Michel Criton, Pirate Latitudes. It is a good book.

Yesterday

I just realized that I did not do a blog for yesterday. I will tell you now what I did. In the morning, I had a baseball game, which I did ok in. I then came home and did homework. Then I went to a party at a friend of my parents house.

Chapters

I'm gonna go to chapters in a couple mins. I like going to chapters, there is lots of cool stuff. Just recently i made a list of like 15 things i need to make up for teachers, and i did lots of them. Yay. Yeah, im doing ok, all i need to do a LOT of is sale's forum. Im really really really really behind in that.

Mythbusters

I have been watching a mythbusters episode that i bought on iTunes. The people seriously have way to much budget because, if something dosent work, they just do it again with a rocket, or something. Like the one im watching now, two semi trailers crash together, and turn a compact car into a pancake. That didn't work, so they made a rocket sled, going at 650mph, and crashed it into a car. Needless to say, it was utterly destroyed.

MLB The Show 09

I have been playing MLB 09 a lot recently, with my pitcher account. Just a couple minutes ago i got my guy called up to be a Long Reliever for the Toronto Blue Jays. Yay. I also have just recently learned the different, specific kinds of pitchers. There is (obviously) a starter, then a long reliever, a middle reliever, a setup man, and last of all, a closer. Until now i only knew starter, reliever, and closer, i didnt know about a long reliever, a middle reliever, and a setup man.

MLB Fantasy Baseball

I'm really happy, I just edged out the other person in my fantasy baseball matchup. It was really close. He was ahead by a couple points for about a week, and i just got about 7 more points than him today, so i won by 2.

Fantasy Baseball Again

I have just been doing a lot a fantasy baseball stuff. I was just looking at a possible trade idea on a website (Which I love), because they just added the new trading section. What you do is you type in a possible trade, and see what it thinks about the value of the trade, even displaying the different areas your team gets points for. Eg: I have a good player on my team who i have on the bench (Andre Either) and i type his name into the website, and it tells me that another player (Curtis Granderson) would be a good trade for me, and tells me that "This is a Very Good trade for your team, improving 5 of 12 scored statistics. Your biggest gain is Runs (100%), while your biggest loss is Doubles (-34%).", but it also informs me that the player i would be trading for is on the Disabled list with a sprained ankle. Maybe i wont trade for him.

Concert

Just a bit ago i came back from the concert. It was fun, we played, adn heard some really good songs. I didnt stay for the senior stuff, because i have homework. Yeah. I finished it now. Yay.

Pitching

I really hope i get to pitch today, because I didn't pitch very well last time. I let in a ton of runs. I just spent a bit of time correcting my stat keeping program, i have a couple data points incorrect. Unfortunatly, those data points were saying that i was batting better then i was, so that was dissapointing. Whatever. I need correct data.

Provincials

So I did the javelin city finals and i won, but i was acually happier about the fact that laurie won, who i have been teaching to throw better, and she did, and won. She was seeded in last. So im going on to the provincials at swangard stadium, on june 4th.

Quantum Physics

I was just looking at some physics articles on wikipedia, because i thing i might do something related to that for my speech to the class. I might do something about faster then light travel.

Track

I did my second, and final elimination today. I got in in javelin, which I did really really good in. I threw 33m for my first throw (a new personal best) and the next two throws were 31m (tying my previous record). So im really really happy. Because last time i threw 27m and it was really really close. I also did 200m and got 2nd. I dont know if i got into elimination though. I also did 100m yesterday, and I got 1st in that, but I didnt even run that fast, so I dont know if ill make it into the finals.

Nucks Lost

The canucks lost again. Uh oh. Um..... It wont happen again. Now we are down, 2-1, but at least our next game is here, so if we win that then.... We are going back to chicago, and if they sweep at home, then they win. Uh oh again.

Doing good in baseball

It turns out I'm doing ok in baseball. Pitching-wise, I am doing really good. I havent pitched a ton, but I havent let in many runs, so I have the best ERA (Earned-Run Average) on the team, but I need to work on my pitches. I can really only throw a fastball. I need a changeup and a moving pitch to be really good.

Nucks

The Canucks are up 5-0 after 2 periods! Yes! We cannot lose this series! Also, I had a baseball game today, which I did ok in, i got a hit and a couple of walks. Yay. Also made a really good throw from left field to 2nd base to get an out. I didnt get the scorekeeping job, it turns out. That really sucks. I was looking forward to it.

Summer Job

I think I might have an idea for a summer job. I have already kind of applied to it. It's with the Vancouver Canadians, they (hopefully) still need a scorekeeper, so i really hope I get it. Its $25 per game, and there is like 32 home games per season, so thats $800. Only if i get it. I really hope I can do it.

Iron Man 2

So, it turns out AC/DC is doing the soundtrack for Iron Man 2. I totally called that after they released a song called War Machine on their new album. That happens to be the the name of one of the new supporting characters in Iron Man 2. I guessed, and I was right. I win. I really hope it will be a good movie. I might go with some people from my last school on opening night. That would be cool.

Game tonight

Game 6 tonight. You should not read this during the game. You should be watching it. (You know who you are. Norahs. I told you to watch.) Whatever. I hope the canucks win. Everyone should hope that. Yeah. Pregame show started a while ago, so im gonna go catch the end.

Canucks Game

The Canucks game was pretty intense today. Seriously. Totally a seesaw game. I almost had several heart attacks. Also I need to find out if you have to be grade 12 to be on exec. not me, theres another guy, tian bo, who might actually have a chance. That would be awesome.

Baseball

We did ok in baseball today. I did pretty good at fielding, but my batting kinda sucked. I threw two bullet throws from third, but all I got, batting-wise, was I got beaned in the arm, and struck out. My team got mercied, so i didnt get a third at bat.

Choir Trip

So, I went on the Choir trip, and thats why i didnt post over the weekend and on friday. It was pretty cool, but the trips next year are so, so, so much better. They (Mr Hurst & Ms Dionne) are planning to go to either New York or London! If we went to New York, we would get to see the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. That would be sweet. I can't wait.

Teacher

During track practice, doing throwing, half the time, i feel like a teacher. People keep asking me stuff. Mostly in javelin, but in other things also. Its kinda irritating sometimes, because I have to practice sometimes too. Whatever, we need a good team, so I go along with it.

Dead

I feel so dead right now. My schedule for the day (I went to sleep at like 11pm yesterday):
7am: Wake up
7am-8am: Eat food and get to school.
8am-8:30am: Library Monitor
8:30am-3:15pm: School
3:15pm-3:30pm: 15 min break
3:30pm-5pm: Track Practice
5pm-6pm: Rush home and stuff down some dinner
6pm-8pm: Baseball Practice
8pm-10pm: Drive home and drive myself into a wall with more homework.

Baseball

I said yesterday I said that I was gonna make like $40 from umping today, but it turns out someone stole two of the three games I was gonna do, which sucks, so I only made like $15, but I did hear about that fact that the guy managing umping hadnt paid me $30 he owed me from last year, so hes gonna send it to me. So thats good. I acually made $45 today, which is like 2 months of allowance, so that great, since im saving up for an iPod Touch when the new one comes out.

Baseball

I'm going to have a huge baseball weekend. Today I had my first baseball game of the season, and it was an exhibition game, and unfortunately we lost, but whatever. And tomorrow, I am umping three baseball games, and I am going to make like $40, which is good because I'm saving up for a new iPod Touch, when the 4th Generation comes out.

Javelin again

So today I did my first javelin meet, and I won, so for now I am Vancouver city champion in grade 8 boys javelin. I'm really happy about that. I didn't even need to try that hard, though I did. My first throw, I thought was a warm up throw, so I only threw about 15m. The second throw, I tried for accuracy, and got around 23m, putting me in first, then I just threw it as hard as I could, and even though it wasn't a perfect flight, I still got 28m. My record is 31m, and I'm going to keep working on that.

Dance

I just went to the dance. It was ok. my afterschool today was kinda hectic because first i had library monitors, then i had a track practice, then i had a baseball practice, then finally i had the dance. Aarg. Too many things planned. Damn.

Easter Holiday

Over the easter holidays, I was up on quadra island, so i didnt have a computer. So i will say what i did now. On friday, we drove there, and on the ferry from tswassen to dukes point, we had to respond to not one, but two maydays. It was like really windy, stormy weather, then we went to the house of the people that are keeping us. The second day, saturday, we went to the people keeping us' friends house, and hid eggs for their children, for an easter egg hunt. The next day, sunday, we had an easter egg hunt for ourselves, and one of the people we were staying with had a b-day, so there was cake. On the last day, monday, we drove home, and I had a baseball practice, my first of the year. My team is the cubs, which kinda sucks, because they didnt do well last year.

I just got the Wolfram Alpha app, and its great, like you can look up anything. I finally bought the latin book, and its good. Im listening to war of the worlds, its a great book. Kinda scary though. Yah. Byebyes.

Javelin

Im doing Javelin in Track & Field, so yeah, thats fun. I cant wait for the meet tomorrow. I also got my report card, which was good, even though I only had a GPA of 2.375 in my middle years classes. At least i improved a lot, because last term is was 1.875. I really hope that it isnt an average, when they check if you are gonna stay in Synergy, because I would need to get 3 B's and 1 A next term to make up for the rest of it. And I really don't think I can do that. I need to ask Mr. Olson.

Latin

I'm still trying to find somewhere where i can find a good book for learning latin. I think ive found one, but its in metrotown, so i need to go look at it, and im busy tuesday, and wedensday, and thats when its reserved until. I will ask my parents.

Historian

I volunteered as a historian for the Buskerfest, but I still don't know what I'm gonna do for preforming. Probably singing. Because I'm in choir. Yeah. Me and jonnie. Mabye we could get the whole class do some some songs. Because we have quite a group. Cello, Violin, Piano, all sorts of band instruments. Yah.

Work Work Work

I just finished my socials notes, finally. I hate doing that, because, essentially u are just paraphrasing the book, so its kinda useless. Yeah. I think its useless, because u can just read the book. i guess it insures u read the book.

Choir

I really hope we finally do a pop song in choir. We have started Waving Flag (by K'Naan), but I still wanna do maybe an older one like Hotel California. I actually think that Hotel California would be a good song, except there is a lot of guitar.

Records

We finally checked if our record player worked, because it broke a long time ago, and it turns out it is fixed. Somehow. So ive been listening to lots of records. Yeah, its cool. Also, im trying to find a place where i can get a latin textbook, so i can teach myself latin. And i had my baseball tryouts. I was really really happy about my results. In the past i have done badly in tryouts, but this time, i feel like i did good. Yay.

iPhoto

I've been doing a lot of photo organizing on my computer. I just realized iPhoto worked, because I thought I had messed it up. It turns out it works, and my uncle just gave me 6.3gb of photos (around 2,400) from that side of the family. Now that takes up almost five sixths of my photo library. Yeah. I really like iPhoto. I can't wait for the new one to come out. I've heard some rumors that they might skip iPhoto '10, and might just wait till iPhoto '11, which would suck.

Star Trek

I have just watched a Star Trek season, of Deep Space 9. Its a good show. Yeah. I am also downloading a game, which i hope will work, but it might not, because of a compatibility thing.

Stressed

I am really stressed. I just had to write 5 poems, and do 6 socials questions in like 30 mins, with my parents yelling at me, and i needed to help 2 people, which also involved a lot of work. AARG. I am sorry. I got to go. Its really late, and i need to wake up early tmrw. Aarg. Bye.

Olympics

Ive really been swept up in the Olympics thing, and projects. Projects suck. Olympics are good. Um... today i was gonna go to Russia House again (Which is the best pavilion ive seen, go see it). So i didnt go to the russia house though because my friends brother was supposed to meet us, but he was kept in school long, so we didnt have time. Which sucks. Tomorrow is the last day of January. Then we're on to the olympic month. FEBUARY! Dun dun dun! OH NO! City-wide clotures, thousands of people swarming into the city! OH NO! AH! FLEEE! But anyway. I am really proud of myself, because i actually got a ton of sci fair done. No knitting though. I really need to get on that. Really. I have like 120-140 cm done. I need 500 in like 13 days. AARG! I just heard someone from my old school (Not applying to synergy), got in a fist fight with someone. I really hate the first person. He always does this. Like last year, he sat on this little kid who was his FRIEND, and he almost had to go to the hospital. He really has to control himself. He really hates me too, and he pisses me off. I have been trying to work as hard as I can on Mr. Sale's forum. My objective is to have 1 post a day, right now I have .3. I need to work on that. Sci Fair (Again)

I did a lot of sci fair today, which is good, because its due in 18 days. I know that because there is 19 days to the olympics, and it is due the day before the olympics. I am tiered, so im gonna go now. Sorry.

Skiing

Skiing is better then snowboarding. Too bad if you wanna complain. I am going to go skiing tommorow morning, even though the conditions are the worst ive ever seen. I have decided to go, just because it might be my last opportunity this season. I really want to figure out how to volunteer at grouse, because i think it would be lots of fun. I have finished all the lessons at grouse, so.... yeah.

I just saw jonnie post for jan 22, 2010, and pretty much i have to say the same thing. I went to the gym in the morning, then to the central library, then i went to my old school, then went to our friends house, which was really fun. I need to do hw now, having fun. yay.

Nunavut Film Development

Both of my parents work in film, so I was forced to go to a Nunavut Film Development presentation at some place, the name of which i forget. It was kinda cool though, because they were serving muskox, and stuff like that. Muskox is actually really good. There was also Arctic char, salmon, and those were good. And Coca-Cola, a traditional native drink. Now im gonna go watch "The Third Man", with Orson Welles, which sounds cool. Tommorow im gonna do some Socials stuff with Johnathan, so...Yeah, and imma do sci fair.

Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back

I've been watching Star Wars V while doing my homework, which has been fun. I like the original ones, except for the effects, they are really bad, but whatever. That's the only reason I like the more recent ones, because they have really good fight scenes. Got to go to dinner.

2018 Olympics

I really think the games are ridiculous, because did you know that on July 6th, 2011, they will pick the location of the 2018 games? By the time they vote, i will be 14, but by the time the 2018 games roll around, I will be 20. Really? Do they need to pick them so far in advance? Also, another cool thing about 2016 olympics is that they are adding 2 new sports. Golf and Rugby. Golf. Really. But i guess if they .... Wait, I was researching something to say and i came across this (click HERE to see the page). Wow. Vancouver is going for 2028. Dammit. Not again. By the time that one rolls around, i will be... finding calcualtor... 32. Wow. But going back to what i was saying, if table tennis is in the olympics, then i guess golf can be.

Knitting

I have been doing more knitting lately, and it turns out, its not that bad, its kinda fun, actually. I have been doing while watching documentaries, such was Erasing David (a good one about privacy, watch it), and a one about ancient Egypt. Next im gonna go see one about islam, which is good, because we are learning about it in socials.

Today

I did some sci fair, and knitting today, which was good, because i achually got a lot done, for knitting, i mean. I need to do more sci fair though. Baseball is getting up and running. Yay. Got to go do homework.

James Bond

I have watched two james bond movies in the last two days, Dr. No last night and Goldeneye. Both while doing schoolwork. I like james bond.

Im kinda just getting into the whole 2010 thing now, its kinda hard to get used to a new year. But yeah, im getting used to it. Baseball is still my fav sport. I might get this thing from Bloomberg a forecasting thing. So... yeah. im done.

Warm Weather

We have been having such warm weather, its been like 10 degrees in the morning. I really hope it will cool down for the olympics, but the forcast dosent help much, high 10 today, and then dipping a bit tommorow, then getting warmer again untill tuesday, which is forcast high 9 low 6. I bet it will rain during the olympics. I got to go to school now.

Im still into the baseball thing, because im starting to do research for my fantasy baseball teams (which start in about a month). Im subscribing to lots of analysis stuff, So... Yeah. I have lots of sci homework. Which sucks. Day 1 tommorow. Yay. Fav day.
