Summer Job

I think I might have an idea for a summer job. I have already kind of applied to it. It's with the Vancouver Canadians, they (hopefully) still need a scorekeeper, so i really hope I get it. Its $25 per game, and there is like 32 home games per season, so thats $800. Only if i get it. I really hope I can do it.

Iron Man 2

So, it turns out AC/DC is doing the soundtrack for Iron Man 2. I totally called that after they released a song called War Machine on their new album. That happens to be the the name of one of the new supporting characters in Iron Man 2. I guessed, and I was right. I win. I really hope it will be a good movie. I might go with some people from my last school on opening night. That would be cool.

Game tonight

Game 6 tonight. You should not read this during the game. You should be watching it. (You know who you are. Norahs. I told you to watch.) Whatever. I hope the canucks win. Everyone should hope that. Yeah. Pregame show started a while ago, so im gonna go catch the end.

Canucks Game

The Canucks game was pretty intense today. Seriously. Totally a seesaw game. I almost had several heart attacks. Also I need to find out if you have to be grade 12 to be on exec. not me, theres another guy, tian bo, who might actually have a chance. That would be awesome.

Baseball

We did ok in baseball today. I did pretty good at fielding, but my batting kinda sucked. I threw two bullet throws from third, but all I got, batting-wise, was I got beaned in the arm, and struck out. My team got mercied, so i didnt get a third at bat.

Choir Trip

So, I went on the Choir trip, and thats why i didnt post over the weekend and on friday. It was pretty cool, but the trips next year are so, so, so much better. They (Mr Hurst & Ms Dionne) are planning to go to either New York or London! If we went to New York, we would get to see the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. That would be sweet. I can't wait.

Teacher

During track practice, doing throwing, half the time, i feel like a teacher. People keep asking me stuff. Mostly in javelin, but in other things also. Its kinda irritating sometimes, because I have to practice sometimes too. Whatever, we need a good team, so I go along with it.

Dead

I feel so dead right now. My schedule for the day (I went to sleep at like 11pm yesterday):
7am: Wake up
7am-8am: Eat food and get to school.
8am-8:30am: Library Monitor
8:30am-3:15pm: School
3:15pm-3:30pm: 15 min break
3:30pm-5pm: Track Practice
5pm-6pm: Rush home and stuff down some dinner
6pm-8pm: Baseball Practice
8pm-10pm: Drive home and drive myself into a wall with more homework.


I really hate this stuff.

Baseball

I said yesterday I said that I was gonna make like $40 from umping today, but it turns out someone stole two of the three games I was gonna do, which sucks, so I only made like $15, but I did hear about that fact that the guy managing umping hadnt paid me $30 he owed me from last year, so hes gonna send it to me. So thats good. I acually made $45 today, which is like 2 months of allowance, so that great, since im saving up for an iPod Touch when the new one comes out.

Baseball

I'm going to have a huge baseball weekend. Today I had my first baseball game of the season, and it was an exhibition game, and unfortunately we lost, but whatever. And tomorrow, I am umping three baseball games, and I am going to make like $40, which is good because I'm saving up for a new iPod Touch, when the 4th Generation comes out.

Javelin again

So today I did my first javelin meet, and I won, so for now I am Vancouver city champion in grade 8 boys javelin. I'm really happy about that. I didn't even need to try that hard, though I did. My first throw, I thought was a warm up throw, so I only threw about 15m. The second throw, I tried for accuracy, and got around 23m, putting me in first, then I just threw it as hard as I could, and even though it wasn't a perfect flight, I still got 28m. My record is 31m, and I'm going to keep working on that.

Dance

I just went to the dance. It was ok. my afterschool today was kinda hectic because first i had library monitors, then i had a track practice, then i had a baseball practice, then finally i had the dance. Aarg. Too many things planned. Damn.

Easter Holiday

Over the easter holidays, I was up on quadra island, so i didnt have a computer. So i will say what i did now. On friday, we drove there, and on the ferry from tswassen to dukes point, we had to respond to not one, but two maydays. It was like really windy, stormy weather, then we went to the house of the people that are keeping us. The second day, saturday, we went to the people keeping us' friends house, and hid eggs for their children, for an easter egg hunt. The next day, sunday, we had an easter egg hunt for ourselves, and one of the people we were staying with had a b-day, so there was cake. On the last day, monday, we drove home, and I had a baseball practice, my first of the year. My team is the cubs, which kinda sucks, because they didnt do well last year.

I just got the Wolfram Alpha app, and its great, like you can look up anything. As an example, did you know that right now the star Regulus is at an altitude of 52deg 30', and an azimuth of 173deg 30' (SSE)? And its next rise will be tomorrow at 3:37 pm? And that dry sand's angle of repose is 35 degrees? And if you had 2500 liters of hard coal, you would have a pile with a base radius of 1.02 meters? And an F#4 has a frequency of 369.994 hertz? Yeppers. Plus there is a website which is free. http://www.wolframalpha.com/ I seriously recommend that anyone reading this blog should at least take a look at it.
